Not you again.

I love proverbs. They are short, concise pieces of wisdom that I can remember. I used to joke in elementary school, “Confucius say…” I don’t think I knew who Confucius was but I knew he said stuff. I believe around the time Confucius died, Sophocles, a writer of Ancient Greek tragedies, lived. If you read his material he could be considered the inventor of modern support groups. Now social media has MEMES and I love those suckers too. Except for when I hate them, they can dupe you. The type that I call “sound bite theology” are my least favorite....

What the what?  My brother-in-law uses this expression quite often.  I think it is because he doesn’t want to sound crass like me.  Whatever the reason, I love it.  It’s for those times when we witness someone saying or doing some odd thing and we just can’t fathom why.  Happens daily to most of us. You are Enough

My friend likes to repeat the mantra to the ladies she loves, “You are enough.” In an earlier post I emphatically stated that I don’t buy into the “anyone can do and be anything” extreme part of the self-help, positive thinking community. But I also don’t buy into pigeonholes.
